“Më am örön k ї nyar ї ltama r ї lїny” TRACER STUDY REPORT

NAWOU released “Më am örön k ї nyar ї ltama r ї lїny” (Avoid eating immature or raw tamarind. It will set your teeth on edge), Tracer Study Report on the “Rising to protect Tipn and Kors Rights” project in Amudat. The stories shared shed light on the harrowing effects of FGM within Amudat district but also represent the bravery and resilience of the girls and women who benefited from the “Rising to protect Tipin and Kor's Rights” project through education with support from the Embassy of Ireland. They take us on a journey of what determination, hope, survival skills, strong will and partnership can do for one when they believe in oneself. It also covers experiences of Community Based Action Teams (COMBATs), school administrators, community leaders; and Karamoja Women's Umbrella Organisation (KAWUO) and Amudat Inter-Religious Development Association (AIDI) as partner implementers who have been instrumental in promoting efforts for realizing girls’ education.
