NAWOU participated in a one hour talk show on Civic Space TV to discuss the contribution of women’s organisations towards women’s economic empowerment and share experiences on how some women’s groups exhibited business resilience during the COVID-19 lock down. Two beneficiaries; Ramlat Noah and Hajjarah Nabaggala together with Communications Officer NAWOU, Fionah Agaba Barbra were hosted on the show on the 9th of May 2022. The show entailed discussions on what women empowerment is, how women navigated the two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, what women in business are doing differently and what women can learn from their experiences. During the show, NAWOU communications officer also promoted the upcoming basket sale on 21st May 2022 at the craft shop located at the Uganda Museum.

The women shared their different journeys with NAWOU as they both belong to different programs. Ramlat Noah, a beneficiary under the Women at work project funded by FOKUS in Luwero gave testimonies of how the project helped her grow with her group, linked her to market and introduced new innovative ways to promote their businesses online and offline.
